Early Release Days

During the 2025-26 School year, MCAS will have "Early Release" days. On Early Release days, students will be dismissed early to allow teachers and staff to participate in professional development. Students will receive assignments to complete at home during the afternoon. Some of those assignments may require students to access information online, however, there will not be live instruction on Zoom.

Scheduled Early Release Days:

• Wednesday, September 24, 2025 
• Tuesday, November 4, 2025
• Thursday, February 26, 2026
• Thursday, April 30, 2026

On Early Release days, middle/high school students will dismiss at 11:00am and elementary will dismiss at 12:00 Noon.

Safe Harbor programs will be in session at all elementary sites on early release days. The Boys & Girls Club after-school programs will not operate on early release days. 

On Early Release days, the Non-Traditional Programs (Pathways, SCALE, Restoration) will have an synchronous eLearning day. The schedules for morning and afternoon sessions are listed below: 

• AM SESSION: 7:30 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
• PM SESSION:  9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m
