Student Advisor Spotlight: Jada Gee '25
Recent MCHS graduate Jada Gee is a highly engaged student leader who stepped into her role on the Student Advisory Council to use her voice and encourage others to do the same.
Jada’s leadership extended well beyond the advisory board. During her time at MCHS, she served as Varsity Cheerleading captain, president of the Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) chapter, and historian for the National Honor Society. She was also active in Teen Court, Early College Club, Den Club, Steering Committee, Helping Hands Club, Student Government, and the Student Leadership Athletic Council.
She contributed to the Student Voices and Opportunities pillar and looked forward to expanding her work to the Meeting the Needs of Diverse Learners and Educating the Whole Child pillars. One project she helped initiate was a quarterly “town hall” during Wolfpack, where students could ask questions and stay informed about strategic planning efforts. Her group’s goal was to show that student feedback leads to real, thoughtful change even if progress takes time.
Jada is now headed to Texas Southern University, where she will continue her academic journey to become a business leader. Her long-term goals include founding both a center for children with special needs and a fashion business. “Ultimately, I am driven by the ambition to achieve significant financial success,” she said.
Her advice to future student advisors? “Go for it. If you’re passionate about making a difference and want to be a voice for your fellow students… It’s a great way to grow and contribute.”
