PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Michelle Hamilton

PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Michelle Hamilton

Say hello to our October Pack Pride Spotlight employee: Mrs. Michelle Hamilton! Hamilton teaches physical education at Marsh Elementary. “My goal for all students is to instill in them a love for physical activity and ways for them to stay active through exercise or sports throughout their lives,” she said.

According to Principal Kerchell Rolling, Hamilton’s dedication to physical education is just the beginning.

“Michelle Hamilton goes above and beyond for our school, our staff, and our students,” she stated. Outside of class, Hamilton organizes school-wide PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) field trips and assemblies, leads the dismissal carline, and has been a grade-A team player throughout her 25 years in education. This year, she shared she is especially proud of having DonorsChoose projects funded, which provided additional equipment for Marsh’s PE program.

“Her dedication has been shared with generation after generation,” said Principal Rolling.

Hamilton values the Marsh community and continuously makes a positive impact on her students.

“It’s nice to see former students as they continue to come to Marsh activities with their families, and they have the opportunity to tell me about their experiences in secondary schools.”

She exemplifies the 7 Habits of Character, serving as a strong role model for both students and colleagues. Principal Rolling praised her compassion, teacher leadership, and genuine care for the school community.

For Hamilton, “helping students learn new activities and seeing the excitement on their faces as they succeed in doing it on their own” is one of her biggest motivators.

Principal Rolling agrees: “She is kind and always helps out. She is a role model and is always cheerful! We love her!”
