PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Leanne Rogers

PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Leanne Rogers

Introducing our Pack Pride pick for February - Leanne Rogers! The 2nd-grade teacher was nominated by Lake Hills Principal Tara Stachowiak for her commitment to students and their families in the classroom and community.

Leanne is motivated to give her best each day by “the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives. She sees the value in well-rounded support of students, uplifting their “confidence, character, and curiosity” on top of academics. Her motivation also comes from a place of love for “the strong sense of community and shared commitment to student success.”

Principal Stachowiak emphasized how instrumental Leanne was in organizing back-to-school displays and generating excitement surrounding their open house. She came up with ways to acknowledge all students by getting their names displayed on pencil cards before the open house. She ensured the school year started on a high note by inviting multiple community partners to welcome students as they entered the building on the first day of school.

“I hope to make a positive impact by creating a supportive learning environment where students feel valued and motivated to grow,” shared Rogers. “I aim to help build students' confidence, resilience, and strong academic skills while also contributing as a collaborative and supportive member of my school team."

Leanne continues to lead a number of efforts for Lake Hills, including Project Lead the Way and their Nelson’s Chicken fundraisers. Their fundraiser in November raised over $2,000!

Rogers is also a strong supporter of the elementary school’s STEM opportunities, which were vital to this year’s STEM night, which had the best turnout the school had seen in years. There were lots of new partners and plenty of activities for families to enjoy.

STEM Night, held on November 20, 2025, was a huge success largely in part to Leanne's commitment to Lake Hills' STEM opportunities.

Leanne showcases all 7 MCAS Habits of Character in her work, approaching each day with patience, kindness, and professionalism.

According to Principal Stachowiak, “[Leanne] showed integrity when faced with someone who was frustrated and upset…she remained calm and respectful through the conversation. She is always looking out for our students and what is best for them while communicating with families and the office to meet their needs…She has also offered to assist students who can come to her room for a calm space during lunch/recess, even if they aren’t her students.”

Leanne shows great care for her community at both the individual and group levels, committed to the well-being of each member and the community they make up.

“She is a huge asset to Lake Hills and the MCAS team!”  said Principal Stachowiak. Congratulations, Leanne!
