PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Brooke Cisar

PACK PRIDE Staff Spotlight: Brooke Cisar

Congratulations to our Pack Pride spotlight this month: Mrs. Brooke Cisar! The Coolspring Food Service Tech, nominated by Principal Patrice Huley, is being recognized for her commitment the school, most visible in her transformation of the elementary school’s cafeteria into an exciting, welcoming place. Though this is where her impact is most felt, her positivity, creativity, and kindness extend far beyond the cafeteria doors.

“Brooke goes above and beyond every single day to make our students feel comfortable, welcomed, and special,” shared Huley. “She has transformed the cafeteria into a bright, inviting space that our students are excited to visit, decorating with creativity and care to make it feel like a fun and welcoming place to gather.”

Mrs. Cisar cherishes the opportunity to inspire students and remind them they can achieve anything. She makes the most of every moment she has with them, knowing that for some, a warm meal made with love means more than she could ever know.

“Giving students an inviting place, where they can eat and have positive interactions with someone who genuinely cares about each and every one of them,” answered Cisar when asked about the impact she hopes to make. “Each child deserves the chance to be seen, heard, or supported.”

While Mrs. Cisar mastered adding fun to every day, she always does so while upholding the MCAS 7 Habits of Character. Principal Huley shared an instance when she shone as a model of respect, empathy, and integrity.

“When a local firefighter tragically lost his life in an accident, Brooke immediately stepped up to show compassion and community support. She prepared a meal for his fellow firefighters and invited students to create a heartfelt banner to honor his service.”

Mrs. Cisar explained she felt very proud of this gesture, stepping out of her shell to model

empathy for her students:

“I put together a meal and created a banner for all the students and staff to sign. My son, Hudson, who is also a student here, delivered the banner and meal to the fire station with me. Not only showing my son but explaining that even in the toughest times, it's okay to find that sunshine, even if your skies look a little gray.”

Brooke’s duties extend beyond the Coolspring community, often involving meal preparation for families in need and supporting local community events.

We couldn’t have said it better than Principal Huley: “Her flexibility and positive attitude make her a joy to work with, and her integrity shines through in everything she does.”

Brooke loves that she can make the Coolspring community happy with her work.

“Lifting each other up is what it's truly all about.”
