Calendar Update: No Storm Makeup Days Needed

We are pleased to share that the Indiana Department of Education has approved MCAS’s plan to address the four instructional days missed as a result of the severe August storms. IDOE approved the district to utilize Option 2, which allows us to leverage additional instructional minutes already built into our school calendar. Because MCAS exceeds the state’s minimum instructional-time requirements, we have sufficient instructional minutes within our existing calendar to account for the time lost. As a result, we will not need to add four additional student days to the 2026-27 school calendar.
