SCALE

At the core of SCALE is the Individual Service Plan (ISP), which outlines personalized academic, behavioral, and life goals for each student. The ISP ensures that the alternative education program is the best fit for the student and establishes a roadmap for their success. Each ISP is developed in collaboration with the student, their teachers, and school staff, ensuring a well-rounded and customized approach.

Students who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible to participate in the SCALE program:

• Students who have withdrawn or plan to withdraw before graduation
• Students who are struggling academically and would benefit from non-traditional instruction
• Expectant parents or students with caregiving responsibilities unable to regularly attend traditional school
• Working students whose jobs interfere with the traditional school schedule
• Students with a history of disruptive behavior despite interventions

Our program is tailored to meet individual needs, and ISPs are reviewed regularly to ensure progress is being made and adjustments are implemented as needed. This flexible, responsive approach allows us to adapt to the evolving needs of each student.

Our Process

1. Student Identification – Eligible students are identified and referred to the program.
2. ISP Creation – Teachers, staff, and the student work together to create the ISP, focusing on specific academic, behavioral, and personal goals.
3. Implementation – The program provides targeted services, including instructional support, counseling, behavioral interventions, and career planning.
4. Progress Monitoring – The ISP is regularly reviewed, and progress is monitored to ensure goals are being met. Adjustments are made as needed to keep students on track.
